Shooting on The Estate

Lothian Estates is located in the heart of the Scottish Borders, with rolling hills, beautiful landscapes and magnificent views across the Borders region.

The Estate consists of over 20,000 acres of land with woodland and shelterbelt blocks mixed throughout the arable and grassland areas. The River Teviot winds itself down through the valley, providing the advantage of all types of terrain. The Estate is centered by the historic Peniel Heugh Monument, which can be seen from miles around.

The extensive size and layout of the Estate readily lends itself to many types of shooting. A significant proportion of the pheasant shooting is organised for Lord Lothian and his family, after which we are able to offer mini driven days, walked up shooting or duck & goose flighting at various locations across the Estate. These days are tailored to meet the exact requirements of our customers. Due to popular demand the partridge shoot on the Estate has been extended for the 2016 season which offers a further excellent opportunity to shoot testing birds in a spectacular location.

On request, lunch can be organised on shoot days whether it be a sit down meal in the Lothian room or a picnic style lunch in the field.

Shooting prices are very competitive and are based on the type and size of day taken. As your day is as important to us as it is to yourself we offer a small, friendly bespoke service and work hard to provide exactly what you are looking for.

The Schoolhouse on the Estate could provide the perfect self catering accommodation for your shooting party.
